Requiem for Rock

They say rock n roll is dying, maybe dead….Elvis said that about vaudeville in 1955. I can’t say for sure…can you?

Join me WEDNESDAY NIGHTS AT 10 for a Requiem for Rock.  A time line from beginning to “end?”   A little Musicology and social history, tunes from the featured genre of the week. Comment in the listenlive chatbox.

All  previously recorded shows on SPOTIFY under REQUIEM FOR ROCK.

If you have a band feel free to send in your music.   Also will promote live acts.

Requiem For Rock airs Wednesdays from 10:00pm to 11:00pm, with a replay Friday drive time at 6 pm.

  1. Another great show this week! The Missle Crisis theme is sadly appropriate these days. Thank you too for educating me about Vasili Arkhipov – a true global hero!

    1. Thanks Lee! Yes, sadly appropriate indeed..sigh. Glad you picked up on Arkhipov….a hero for us all, unsung. A Scottish show from 81 82 83 84 tonight! Cool. I did one of those too.

  2. Hi Alec,

I just wanted to let you know about my new album Lookin’ Up, available for airplay on CKMS. It’s got a classic British Invasion sound, and I love old rock ‘n roll, so I think you might dig it.
Hope you enjoy if you check it out!
    Thanks
    Adrian

  3. Hi there!

I’m the singer of the band ‘High’ out of Toronto. Alternative rock based with some unique touches. Planning to gig in Waterloo this spring so would be nice to make some new friends through the magic of radio! Here’s some tracks:
