Changemakers Ep – Photo 51 – The DNA Lady – Part 1

What happens behind closed doors in prestigious university labs comes out slowly, in trails of information and bits of knowledge, or sometimes none at all, to the point where the wrong people will get awarded, and the right people may even die young, like what happened to one Rosalind Franklin. This is her story, of a young woman with ambition and talent, and her journey to discover the double helix, the structure of the DNA, and the deceit and intrigue that lurked in the background that wasn’t discovered until much later. Some don’t even know it until today.

What is Changemakers?

Changemakers Without Borders is a spoken-word episodic interview and biographical podcast that explores changemakers in our history who’ve made a positive change in our world, and through these stories, hopefully inspire us to be changemakers in our own lives.

I also interview current community changemakers who are investing their time to better their surroundings, and who take true action to make a positive difference.

My Approach

I take a more personal slant in my show to demonstrate that every leader in our history was, in fact, human. Despite each and every one of us having a difficult challenge to overcome, we can seek encouragement from these personal stories, and allow them to propel us forward.

The knowledge of leader’s triumphs can aid us in our present and future so that we can seek to become more responsible and innovative stewards of our future, and only allow the positive aspects of history’s leaders to shine through.

Changemakers Without Borders airs on CKMS Wednesdays from 8:00am to 8:30am
