In solidarity with jailed Al-Jazzera journalists, CKMS and other community/campus radio stations will be going silent for a moment at Noon on July 1st.

After 177 days in detention, Al-Jazzera journalists – Canadian-Egyptian Mohamed Fahmy and Australian Peter Greste were each sentenced to seven years in prison, while their Egyptian colleague Baher Mohamed was sentenced to an additional three years for possession of ammunition.
