- Track Number is the episode number.
- Track Type is always "PRS - Pre-Recorded Show."
- Creator is the show host. That's you!
You can edit each track in LibreTime, but it's better to add metadata before uploading. LibreTime depends on accurate metadata to schedule tracks and shows.
Pre-Recorded Shows with missing or incorrect metadata will be deleted! You may lose your work!

Uploading Music?
Remember the Genre!
Add the Genre tag when you upload music files. All our Autoplay programs are: green on the schedule and depend on Genre to get played; music files without Genre won't get played, and will be first against the wall when the revolution comes.
Important Genre tags
- CanCon - for Canadian Content (two of Music, Artist, Performance, Lyrics; MAPL)
- KWCon - Musicians from Waterloo Region: Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Woolwich, Wilmot, Wellesley, North Dumfries
- Indigcon - Music by First Nations, Inuit, or Metis performers or composers
- FemCon - Music by women, or featuring female performers
- QueerCon - Music by 2SLGBTQIA+ folx
- World - Music in languages other than English or French. Add the language as a Genre as well, eg. World, Spanish
You can edit each track in LibreTime, but it's better to add metadata before uploading. LibreTime depends on accurate metadata to schedule tracks and shows.
Tracks with missing or incorrect metadata will be deleted! You may lose your work!

On-Air Spring Fundraiser

Don't upload video!
Please don't upload video to LibreTime. Filenames with .mp4 or .m4a are most likely video. They may not play properly, creating dead air. And they take up far too much space. We're cleaning up the LibreTime library in preparation for a LibreTime upgrade, and video files will be deleted.
You can extract the audio from a video file with Sound Converter software. MP3 sound files at 192 kbps, CBR (Constant Bit Rate) are preferred.
If you need assistance, please drop in to our weekly ProgCom training, every Sunday at 8:30pm, online at https://radiowaterloo.ca/progcom
Thank you,
--Bob.

Even if you've been around a long time, this is a chance to meet your fellow Radio Waterloo members!
