Last weekend on Mano A Mano – Concept Album I featured two of my favourite Canadian Bands! Both have great stories about how I found out about the bands and their albums. I also pulled a last minute audible with this selection. I was going to feature The Wet Secrets album “Rock Fantasies” by at the last minute their track “Maybe we’ll make a plan” played on my Audio Library and I had to listen to that album because it is just as fantastic! So check out their album here and then go buy all their music!

MAM Hate Mail – Anti-Battle for Solidarity!

Throughout the past little bit our program has seen more hate mail than in all the 5+ years that we have been doing the show…so much so that we couldn’t fit it all into this show and we will likely have to do a part 2 addressing certain concerns.

In this podcast we issue apologies to various hate mail that we have received, explain the situation from our perspective, hope that we are improving the lives of everyone in the word and play some great tracks to back these issues…..yes, even the Unicorns!

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Battle!

In the podcast we explore the origins of this ALS Ice bucket phenomena that is sweeping across social media. In addition to that we look at the rules and rock some great tracks.

I realize I was a few days late with completing the challenge. I wanted to look into this a bit further to make sure that it was a good cause. What I was worried about was that the time limit forced people to just mindlessly follow the pyramid scheme social media experiment without looking further into what it was about.

Rock Cut Feature: The Gay 90’s and the Wet Secrets

The Wet Secrets have been one of my favourite bands for a long while. We recently got the chance to see the Wet Secrets and their live show is just awesome! They are definitely a band you want to check out at NXNE. But not only are the Wet Secrets playing that show…..



… just recently two other bands have entered my top ten fav bands, those being The Mounties and Fur Trade. A common element to those two bands is Parker Bossley who is guitarist and singer of a band called The Gay Nineties – who is on tour right now with the Wet Secrets.  Their music is awesome! I have seen the Mounties a few times now and Parker Bossley is an amazing musician so I anticipate these Gay Nineties sets to be awesome as well!
