Today’s show was a remote live-to-air from the Pioneer Agronomy Centre south of Ayr Ontario. There were many great speakers about agriculture. L to R in the picture, Adam Gaspar, Ashley Pfister, Jeff Stager, Rachel Faust, Erin Calhoun, and Ali Aziz. Other speakers were Scott Cressman , Kaye McLagan, and Sean Dunnett. Some of the music selections were Shania Twain, Jason McLean, The Irish Rovers, and Johnny Cash.
Tomorrow morning I will be attending the following event to recognize our grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The grant will help improve a lot of things at the station as well as add video capabilities to the studio. If anyone can attend tomorrow, I am looking for someone to take photos or video. It’s from 10 to 10:30 AM.

Today we held our Inaugural Kids Work Shop for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region. What a fun morning at Lyndon Fishing Pond! Lots of Littles and Bigs learning how to fish! Thanks to Chef Justin Bronson for showing everyone how to clean and fillet a rainbow trout. Plus, a cooking demonstration to teach us how to make them tasty on the BBQ. Also thanks to CKMS 102.7 FM Radio Waterloo for broadcasting live. We are happy to make this an annual event!

Bigs and Littles will be joining us for a “Kids Workshop” to learn how to fish along with a cooking demonstration by Chef Justin Bronson. The Fishing Pond will be open to customers our regular hours of 9 am to 6 pm. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a leading child and youth mentoring charity that facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential.
Gord Grant highlights the presentation from Dr. Merrin MaCrae at a focus group discussing Phosphorous in the Water. This event was held at the Elora Raceway April 22 2017.
Dr. Merrin Macrae, Mark Ruesser and Charlie LaLonde were presenters at the workshop on phosphorous in Ontario agriculture. We hear the presentations by all three and the discussion from one of the breakout groups.
